About Rio

Rio is the second oldest girl in the theater, sometimes viewed as an older sister figure for many of the other idols and giving them advice when she can. However, she isn't exactly confident in herself and still has a ways to grow herself. She's good friends with the other adults in the agency (most notably Konomi), and flirts with the producer.
Something she struggles with is her body and how she can attract others. She knows she's pretty, but she struggles with charming others and views herself as a pathetic adult. She's jealous of Konomi for being so confident in herself. The two of them share their struggles together and bring out the best in one another.

"She is the antithesis to Konomi Baba; the outward appearance of a mature woman with sex appeal but an immature personality. But even with her charm she's overly forward and scares people off. She's playful and fun, and it adds a layer of complexity to the nature of her songs which characterize her struggles. I'm most familiar with Be My Boy and WHY?, the first dwelling her eventually overcoming the hurdle of being just friends and the latter on her dealing with the silence after finally making a move. Under her playful demeanor and straightforwardness is someone distraught by bad love experience. Under her mature appearance is a youthful heart. And on top of all her bad experience is the strength to keep her head high and to push forward, even if it means getting wasted first. Momose Rio is a mess of immature issues in an adult setting and I feel that personally."

"rio’s commus have a very strong theme of “growth” in them. she’s often depicted as a childish adult who is inexperienced with love and tries a little too hard to encounter romance, but she’s aware of her own so-called immaturity and works hard to improve herself beneath that playful exterior. in reality rio is still young after all, and becoming an idol has helped her face what it means to be an adult especially with the help of her fellow adult idols character interactions: i love how her relationship with konomi ties so closely with their respective characters - they are each other’s best friends, and can let their guards down around each other. rio looks up to and respects konomi a lot, and doesn’t have to keep up the act of being flirty and pushy; konomi trusts rio and finds comfort in her presence, and knows that she doesnt have to prove herself when she’s with her. they have a very strong bond in private that translates well into their work as fellow idols"
